What a dramatic ending. LeBron goes absolutely nuts, hitting six 3-pointers to tie the All-Star record, stunning the crowd with his fade away shots. But then, just as it always has been, LeBron throws the ball to no-mans land. He chokes once again in the clutch, and the media frenzy continues. The interesting part is just as Lloyd pointed out; Kobe, the king of killer instinct, dares LeBron to shoot the 3. And how does LeBron react? Throwing the ball right into the hands of the Western All-Stars. Listen, I understand how good King James can be. He can shoot, score, rebound, pass, and play defense like nobody else in the game. But when the game is on the line, he chokes every single time. Why, I simply do not know. But I do know what I have seen, and that is a player who does not want the ball in clutch situations.

Who cares if he almost single handedly brought the East back? That’s not the issue. The point is Lebron does not want the ball in his hands with the game on the line. He’s a choker. It’s going to continue to happen again and again.
VWG says
So if he kept the ball in his hands, but missed the shot, is he still a choker in your mind?
Anyways, he doesn’t do this “again and again.” See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rxU9s2TqDc
It’s just that every time he DOES do it, Sheridan Hoops, ESPN and everywhere else goes nuts and says he does.

If LeBron had made the game winning three pointer over Kobe and Durant and everybody else on the western all star team, we would have criticized him by saying it was only the all star game and that LeBron still cant make shots that actually matter…give it a rest people. Its not June yet, wait until then to see if LeBron has grown any since last year.

I’ve noticed that all of this criticism aimed at LeBron, both from fans and talking heads, is turning him into a sympathetic figure to lots of people, at least those ones who’re fair-minded. I see way more support for LeBron than there was few months ago.
Obviously the number of haters is still big, though.
Rational Person says
Yep. Lebron definitely choked in the 4th quarter against the Celtics and the Bulls in the 2011 postseason.
VWG says
LeBron basically single-handedly brought the East back on the game, largely in the 4th, yet you say he choked? How about Deron Williams for choking in the drawn up play at the end by barely grazing the rim on his shot?
dre says
By himself? Carmelo scored 8 pts down the stretch so defintly so did Dwill and had a big steal that brought the east within 1. Dont go blaming Dwill for this…
Andrea says
True, but LeBron did the heavy-lifting..if it wasn’t for him then the East would have never made a comeback.
