Is Kevin Love in the conversation for MVP? Because if he isn’t in the top two or three right now, then somebody needs to redefine what the “MVP” actually is. Love was a monster once again on Monday, scoring 39 points, shooting 5-10 from long range and grabbing 17 boards. The Timberwolves are now a game above .500 (20-19) and are slowly becoming a playoff contender in the West. Ricky Rubio has been a great rookie, but the rest of the team needs to find their place in the picture. Love has been the only consistent player on the Timberwolves, and has been a monster in doing so. Point is, Kevin Love might be my MVP right now, and that is saying a lot.
No doubt he should be in the conversation. The best PF in the league bar none this season, towing Minnesota into relevance (how they didn’t give him 5 years is beyond me).
