My main reason for considering this the Tweet of the Day is my unconditional love for Ricky Rubio as a player. He’s incredibly young, he’s a unique spanish player, and he is one of the best young passing point guards I have seen in years; and I have an incredible amount of respect for point guards who see the court. Therefore, when he went down with the severe knee injury he suffered, I must say, it did not sit very well with me. I enjoy watching the TimberWolves, Kevin Love is a potential MVP candidate, and I feel as if this injury simply sucked the life out of them. I do wish him the best of luck in his long, rigorous recovery, and hope his career picks up just where it left off.

Of course, K-Love is a stud. We love Ricky for the intangibles. He has a great heart and his enthusiasm is, to use his favorite English word, “amazing.”
Unfortunately, Ricky is not the only one we’ve lost to injury in this compressed season. But he is by far our biggest loss.
