The Denver Nuggets have played 27 home games and just 22 away games (entering Monday night’s game at Chicago), they are not a particularly good defensive team, and their final nine games will be against teams fighting for playoff positioning and/or playoff spots. They just downgraded Nene for JaVale McGee, they have been in a constant state of flux because of injuries, and they are 0-2 thus far on a seven-game road trip.
So when asked who I think will slide out of the playoff race, they were my choice.
That being said, any of the teams ranked fourth through 11th in the Western Conference are one four-game losing streak away from panic (Clippers) or irrelevance (Timberwolves) as we enter the final month of the NBA regular season.
I discussed the tightly-bunched West, what I took away from Sunday’s Thunder-Heat game (Dwyane Wade as milk carton material) and who I’m keeping a close eye on this week (Phoenix Suns) in this NBA video report with Cinesport’s Noah Coslov.
