It’s not often that I base a tweet on a simple highlight play, especially on a night where the Thunder played the Heat, and the Lakers played the Clippers (which were both great games, I might add). But what Blake Griffin did to Pau Gasol tonight was just flat-out wrong. The first dunk, where he came flying in off a missed shot and put the hammer down on Gasol, was the dunk receiving the most attention. The second, however, demands much more attention. Not only did he come off a pick-and-roll and absolutely slam it on Gasol again, but this time he added a forearm to the face. Griffin just embarrasses opposing players with his athleticism, and when his career is all said and done, he may just have THE greatest highlight reel we have ever witnessed.
Of course, nobody will dare point out that in most of Griffin’s hilights, including the 2nd dunk tonight, he commits obvious offensive fouls. The dunk on Mozgov that everyone talks about.
