There is a guy I chat with often on Twitter who likes to pick NBA games against the spread. He has been on a tremendous run the past couple months, and I dared him to publish his picks prior to the games for a couple weeks to put his talents to the test. (He went 1-0-1 in his debut Wednesday, and 2-0 Thursday.)
For now, he shall remain anonymous. We’ll just call him “The Picker.”

You can even see which lines have had movement over the course of the day.
For his debut Wednesday, The Picker liked Boston getting one point vs. San Antonio and the Lakers getting three points from the Clippers. The Celtics pushed and the Lakers covered.
He went 1-0-1, and he shot me a message afterward: “Always buy the extra half-point.”
Thursday night, he liked buying the extra half-point to get Knicks +3.5 and Clippers -2.5. (At 5:30 EDT, the line on both games was 3.)
He hit both.
We’ll see how this guy does over the next couple of weeks, and we’ll keep his record updated each day. Do what you want with his information, but understand that we do not condone or endorse illegal gambling. For those of you in Nevada or outside of the United States, different standards apply.

Love the addition of The Picker. I’d love to see this feature extended, maybe with The Picker giving a little insight into why he made his picks.

The Picker has a Nose, but he does not reveal his secrets. Check back every night at 6p.m. EST.
