Just sent an e-mail to “The Picker” asking for a public explanation. He went 0-2 last night after a 3-0-1 start Wednesday and Thursday.
He could have taken the Spurs and given away 11 1/2 points against the worst team in the West, but nooooooo. San Antonio won by 25 over New Orleans.
He could have looked at the over/under of 188.5 on Cavaliers-Raptors, realized there were two D-League offenses competing, and plugged the under (164 combined points). But noooooooo.
“The Picker” is going to have to deal with being ridiculed on this site, which I am doing this morning after he picked the Hawks -8 (they beat Detroit by 5) and the Mavericks -6 (they lost at home to Portland).
“It was a night full of upsets across the board. Rarely happens on a scale like that. I did say it was tough yesterday,” “The Picker said in a return e-mail.
“The Picker” is a guy I chat with often on Twitter who likes to pick NBA games against the spread. He has been on a tremendous run the past couple months, and I dared him to publish his picks prior to the games for a couple weeks to put his talents to the test. (He went 1-0-1 in his debut Wednesday, and 2-0 Thursday. His record now stands at 3-2-1, and he’ll have picks tonight. (Myself, I don’t gamble on basketball. But even I can see two mortal locks for tonight as I check the morning lines. I’ll discuss later with “The Picker” — privately).
We’ll see how this guy does over the next couple of weeks, and we’ll keep his record updated each day. Do what you want with his information, but understand that we do not condone or endorse illegal gambling. For those of you in Nevada or outside of the United States, different standards apply.
For the spreads on all of tonight’s games, click here to check the odds we receive through our partnership with SportsDirect. You can even see which lines have had movement over the course of the day.

Tell the picker I said thanks for the free losers yesterda<<<<<<<<sarcasm. I didn't like the big spreads yesterday so I did a 2-team tease and still loss. SMH!

As long as Picker hits 55% or 60% he’s just as good as any Shark in Vegas. Gotta see how this guy does over a couple weeks to really see what hes got. Can’t judge anything on one night.

Pretty easy to say that after the games have been played! I believe ATL and DAL both had big leads going into the 4th Q. Not much you can do when teams shit down their leg in the 4th.
