Yesterday, the Picker was curious about the two mortal locks I wrote about in the morning, but he agreed with only one of them — which hit when Orlando not only covered at Philadelphia, but won outright. (My other was the Hawks -8.5).
After a poor showing Friday night (0-2), “The Picker” had another tough night Saturday as he went 1-1 to drop his four-day record to 4-3-1. He liked the Nuggets, who lost big at Golden State, and he also liked the Lakers before learning that Kobe Bryant was not playing. “The Picker” sent a text 40 minutes before tipoff asking that the pick be pulled. So he had a 1-1 Saturday night.)
We’ll get to his latest pick in a moment.
The Picker” is a guy I chat with often on Twitter who likes to pick NBA games against the spread. He has been on a tremendous run the past couple months, and I dared him to publish his picks prior to the games for a couple weeks to put his talents to the test. (We’ll see how this guy does over the next couple of weeks, and keep his record updated each day. Do what you want with his information, but understand that we do not condone or endorse illegal gambling. For those of you in Nevada or outside of the United States, different standards apply.)
For the spreads on all of tonight’s games, click here to check the odds we receive through our partnership with SportsDirect. You can even see which lines have had movement over the course of the day.
“OKC is my only play of the day,” The Picker” e-mailed this afternoon. The Thunder are laying 13 against the Raptors.

Mr. johndoe too scared to put his name out there. And actually I’m 5-3-1, and if you bought the half-point as you always should I’m 6-3, and thats including one of the hardest days of betting I’ve ever seen. And I’ve been doing this awhile. These last few days is also coming off a 11-2 week last week. Tough to be hot every week. At 66% still if you bought that half-point is considered VERY good in Vegas terms.

The picker sucks! 4-4-1, I could do better than that.
