An afternoon bonus for y’all.
Usually, we post the picks from “The Picker” late in the afternoon or in the early evening, giving him time to make up his mind.
Today, fresh off hitting his only pick yesterday (Miami on the money line), “The Picker” is delivering two selections for tonight’s big slate of NBA games.
After a week and a half, “The Picker” now has a record of 15-10-2 (although he will be the first to argue that if you follow his motto — “Always buy the extra half-point” — his record jumps to 17-10.)
Yesterday after hitting with the Heat, he was contemplating adding a pick on the Boston-Charlotte game after the line dropped from 9 to 7 as news got out that Doc Rivers had left Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen back in New York, but he ultimately left it alone. (The Celtics won by 12).

There has already been massive movement on the Philadelphia-Orlando game because of the news that Glen Davis is not expected to play, joining Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu on the shelf.
Tonight, “The Picker” likes the Mavericks getting 4 points on the road against Utah, and the Thunder on the money line against the Clippers (5/3, or 1.70 to 1). On the Dallas game, “the Picker” advises — as he always does — buying an extra half-point.
