In their previous matchup, when Bynum grabbed 30 rebounds as thee Lakers beat the Spurs, I was a bit confused, I must say. How could the Spurs, such a fundamentally sound team, let one player destroy them on the boards like that? Might I add, they also possess debatably the greatest power forward/center of all-time in Tim Duncan, who is still playing at a very high level. I was concerned, to say the least, of whether or not the Spurs could handle the Lakers big men, especially since I labeled them the best team in the NBA. Well, why are the Spurs as good as they are? They adjust. They are an experienced team, and their head coach may very well be the best active coach in the league. Bynum was a complete non-factor on the boards tonight, grabbing just two rebounds. This team is good, and are looking like the front-runners for the NBA Championship heading into the playoff.

After 30 boards in 1st game vs. Spurs, Bynum's totaled 9 in past 2. Pop: "He humiliated us. Guys were fired up to play better against him."
