The Los Angeles D-Fenders and the Austin Toros will meet in the 2012 NBA Development League Finals, with each game of the best-of-three series televised nationally on NBA TV.
The 2012 Finals tip off on Tuesday, April 24 at 8:30 p.m. ET, when Austin, the No. 3 seed in this year’s NBA D-League playoffs, hosts Los Angeles, the top seed, at Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, Texas. The D-Fenders will then host the Toros for Game 2 on Thurs., April 26 at 10:00 p.m. ET, and Game 3, if necessary, on Sat., April 28 at 9:30 p.m. ET, at Toyota Sports Center in Los Angeles.
The D-Fenders have yet to lose a game in the postseason, defeating both the Iowa Energy and Bakersfield Jam in two games each to advance to the Finals.
The 2012 NBA D-League Regular Season Champion, Los Angeles finished the regular season with an NBA D-League record 38-12 mark and features 2012 NBA D-League All-Stars Brandon Costner and Elijah Millsap and L.A. Laker assignee Christian Eyenga.
The Toros, who finished with the second-best regular season record (33-17), defeated the Canton Charge in three games to advance to the Championship round.
