If LBJ will be the MVP but he won't win the NBA title, he will become the 1st player ever in the NBA history with 3 MVP titles and no rings

This seems to be one of those statistics that LeBron James critics would feed off of. However, it is worth mentioning, the only other players other than James himself to win multiple MVP’s and never win a championship are Karl Malone and Steve Nash, two of the all-time greats. We all know James is great, nobody is denying that. But if he does win his third MVP and flunks again in the playoffs, well, there really is no excuse. LeBron has another great opportunity this year, and although their are some impressive teams out there, the Heat are more than capable of winning. That being said, I have the Spurs beating the Bulls in the Finals, so I’m really not a Heat advocate anyway.

Actually, I think Nash and Malone being the other multiple MVP winners not having won a title IS an argument against LeBron (although I still think he deserves the nod). As good as Nash and Malone were, they weren’t first-tier greats and each didn’t deserve one of their MVPs.
