Tonight’s best game: Denver Nuggets at Orlando Magic
The Magic are pretty much locked in as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference; but that doesn’t mean they have nothing to play for. Sitting two games behind the Atlanta Hawks with three games remaining, and leading the Knicks and Philadelphia by three games, one would assume they finish as the sixth seed, barring a a crazy turn of events. But the Magic need to not only prove to the world they can win without Dwight Howard, but to themselves. Howard
“The Picker” returns, Gus Forrest picks again, too
“The Picker” is back from a two-day timeout after a run of bad picks dropped his record to 18-17-2. Gus Forrest subbed for the past two nights, going 2-1 both nights. Last night he hit the under on Heat-Wizards and Bucks-Nets and made a bad call with the under 189 1/2 on the Pacers-Sixers, which went to overtime and registered a 215. When Gus misses, he misses big. He has agreed to pick again tonight. But
Sheridan’s Sunday Power Rankings
Here they are, the last Power Rankings of the season. And I didn’t pull a Heisler and give five teams a No. 1 ranking — although I think we all understood his point when he did that last Wednesday. As painful as it is to write this, watch out for the Hawks and Pacers in the East. Yes, they aren’t all that fun to watch. But you may be watching both of them in the second round. The first round is shaping up

Glen Davis (17 PTS, 13 REB, 4 STL) and Jameer Nelson
Bernucca: Magic, Sixers are The Walking Dead of the playoffs
If you are like me and a fan of the TV show The Walking Dead, you were thoroughly intrigued by the recent season finale, which showed a strange hooded female character who had gained control of two formerly relentless zombies, rendering them harmless annoyances by severing their arms and placing them on leashes. In a way, those zombies could have been the Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers, a pair of dead teams walking into what should otherwise be a very alive
Nuggets clinch playoff berth; Jazz grab edge for No. 8 seed
It took awhile, but the Nuggets finally clinched the playoffs for the ninth consecutive season. But just because they are in, that doesn’t mean George Karl is about to rest his players. Quite the contrary actually; Following the win, Karl said “We have three games left, and we are going to try to win all three of them. There won’t be any rest going on here.” It only makes sense. The Nuggets still have a chance to catch the Mavericks (who lost
