Tyson Chandler
A much needed bright spot for the Knicks; Tyson Chandler winning Defensive Player of the Year Honors. He had 45 first place votes (311 points), and was followed by Serge Ibaka who had 41 first-place votes (294 points) and and Dwight Howard, who had 186 points. The award seemed dominated by big men, as Kevin Garnett finished 5th, and I was a bit shocked to not see Shawn Marion in the discussion. Tyson Chandler’s award was much deserved, as his presence on defense for the Knicks was relatively irreplaceable. He finished the year with 11.3 PPG, 9.9 RPG, and 1.4 BPG.

Congrats to Tyson Well deserved.
However, what is this about J.Kidd winning the sportsmanship award?
Must be all judges who are blind and ignorant. Hair pulling and knocking an opponent to the floor do not exemplify sportsmanship conduct. The award should be rescinded for Kidd.
