A twitter user named Brian Rogat (@brogat) asked an interesting question last night: is this the first (modern) professional sports finals (NBA, MLB, NFL or NHL) where neither team ends in ‘S’?
He was referring to the Heat and Thunder matchup, and as noted by Deadspin, the names of these teams can cause a dilemma for copy editors. So what is the answer to Rogat’s question?
Chris Sheridan modified the question to make it any most recent pro team, and the answer was, in fact, LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo of the MLS. Congratulations to Denver Yankee (@denveryankee) to be the first to answer correctly.
