Tweet of the Night went to Ty Lawson, who clearly wasn’t all too satisfied with his ESPN’s player rank of 48. It’s a good thing to have strong belief in yourself and expect to be ranked or thought to be better than what is being said about you. Lawson showed flashes of brilliance as a full-time starter – both in the regular and post season, so perhaps he deserves to be ranked higher. The whole ranking process can be very subjective anyway – Nate Robinson was ranked 37 players lower than Steve Blake, after all.
That said, calling someone a “bum azz analyst” because you don’t like where they ranked you? There are probably better ways to handle the “situation” than that. The best way? Go out and prove them wrong.
While we’re on the subject, be sure to check out Chris Bernucca’s offseason moves and analysis of the Denver Nuggets.

I think Ty was overrated. There are 30 NBA teams with an average of 2 players per team better than Ty.
Meanwhile someone like Brook Lopez was ranked 60th and he is expected to be about the 7th best center in NBA, so should be around 45th. If Brook, who has bulked up, is injury free, he should be in top 40. Gerald Wallace is also better than Ty, but critics just assume his game has significantly degraded, but didn’t watch him after getting traded to Nets. He is still a “near” All Star.
