Everybody who follows and watches the NBA on a regular basis knows that TNT has a superior halftime show and post-game show than ESPN.
Now the folks at ESPN have come right out and admitted it.
During a conference call today to introduce Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose as two of the the new co-hosts for ESPN’s Wednesday and Friday doubleheader studio shows, the two spent about as much time discussing Turner Sports’ superiority as they did discussing anything else.
Here are some excerpts from the transcript:
Q. Jalen, why do you think you’ll be a good fit on the show?
JALEN ROSE: I’m really excited about the opportunity to join NBA Countdown. We all know that the standard for the NBA studio show was set, and rightfully so, by the TNT show lead by Ernie, Charles, Kenny and now they added Shaq.

Listening to Tragic Johnson butcher the english language is pathetic. How someone his age hasn’t figured out basic speaking skills is beyond words.
Alek Samm says
“TNT is better than us.” Well, yeah, you’re going to get that when the guys who are doing the talking actually played in the NBA and know what they’re talking about (for the most part, they’re not infallable). Plus, personality counts.
It also helps that, even tho’ TNT plays up the storylines and gives hope for teams where there really is none, they do it more genuinely than anyone on fake talk Espn, exception being Stephen A.

Also, does Magic Johnson have incriminating photos of David Stern and ESPN execs playing Spin the Bottle in a San Francisco sauna? Why is that rotund empty vessel still on the show?
A.J. says
The addition of Shaq has turned out to be a major subtraction. He sucks. A huge disappointment. I thought it would be great, it’s turned out to be a clownfest.
