Football is one of those things that can evoke so many emotions. Anger, rage, excitement, joy, confusion—pretty much any emotion that you can think of, football has it.
Sometimes the funniest reactions that you get from football fans is the reaction of the conspiracy theorist.
The conspiracy theorist is the person that is looking to assume that something fishy is going on because one or more players on a team is not playing up to par.
Today’s conspiracy theory comes from Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Damien Wilkins.
Wilkins is questioning the efforts of Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray, who threw three interceptions in the first half of today’s rivalry game against the Florida Gators.
Despite his poor play, the Bulldogs maintained a 7-6 lead going into halftime.
Wilkins wasn’t the only NBA player tweeting about the matchup between No. 2 Florida and No. 10 Georgia.
To the dismay of many, the Florida Gators did not prevail. Rather, they played a terrible brand of football. The Gators entered the game having only four turnovers offensively all season…they left with six more. To further add insult to injury, two of their six turnovers came at or near the end zone, when in scoring position.
No offense to Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Marquis Daniels, but the game was anything but good. Riddled with penalties, unsportsmanlike trash talk and turnovers, the game was a mess.
The 17-9 Georgia victory was atrocious to watch, unless you were a Bulldog fan or you only saw the final play of the game.
It’s a good thing basketball season is upon us.
