Daily Leagues at FanDuel
Week 1 of my season-long experiment ends today. I never expected to play in so many leagues, nor to cash so often. With a $100 weekly bankroll, and only five days with games, I started cautiously, like someone who can afford to lose $20 per day, but each day, some of my teams won money, which I reinvested. It’s been a pleasant surprise to break even so far; I was half-expecting to drop the entire hundred while learning a new game.
FanDuel makes it easy to play in multiple leagues. You can Import or Export your lineup, so if you have entered the same team in $1, $2 and $5 leagues, with various numbers of teams and prize structures, and decide to make a change, you can modify them all at once.

The chart each day is a selection of five good plays in each price range. With only five NBA games, options are more limited than usual. There are so many variations, it takes a while to learn them all; I’m dabbling in Expert leagues, which have a “more difficult” $50,000 salary cap, compared to $60,000 in Standard leagues.
There are variations in when leagues close. Today, with a 12:00 noon start, some leagues include that game and others don’t. In a Late league that closes at 6:00, you can’t use Knicks or 76ers.
