SAS @ SAC: In a typical Gregg Popovich move, the hot hand was that of rarely-used Patty Mills (18 PTS on 8-9 shooting) and Tim Duncan (23 PTS, 12 REB, 4 BLK) did the rest. The Kings shot 35% as a team; only Jason Thompson (17 PTS, 6 REB, 2 STL) did anything noteworthy.
GSW @ LAL: Undefeated since firing their coach earlier in the day, the Lakers beat up on the Warriors. Kobe Bryant had his best all-aroung game of the season (27 PTS, 9 REB, 7 AST, 2 STL) and Pau Gasol (14 PTS, 16 REB) was a lot more involved. Golden State shot 33.7% on the night and we are hard pressed to say anything good other than Stephen Curry (18 PTS, 5 AST) didn’t get hurt.
UTA @ DEN: It took a while, but the Nuggets are rolling now. Against the big, strong Jazz, Kosta Koufos (15 PTS, 10 REB, 3 BLK) was excellent and Kenneth Faried (18 PTS, 10 REB, 2 BLK) had another fine outing. Even with Danilo Gallinari still misfiring (2-11 for 5 PTS) Denver has won three straight to even their record. Mo Williams, who is clearly hurting, had his worst game of the year and Al Jefferson scored just 4 points, missing 8 of 9 shots.
November 10 Games
WAS @ IND: Both teams played last night, and the big edge goes to Indiana at home. If you’r looking for a bargain in daily leagues or as a spot starter, try A.J. Price against his former club.
PHI@ TOR: After an inspired, uplifting win in Boston, the Sixers might have a letdown tonight. Rested and at home, the Raptors will make this one interesting, though they may be without Kyle Lowry (ankle) for another game, which is good news for Jose Calderon owners. DeMar DeRozan has been more aggressive this year and Andrea Bargnani is coming around. SF is a real problem; Landry Fields has been terrible and may soon be replaced by journeyman Alan Anderson.
