$5,000 in Prizes for a $2 Entry Fee
Like Kent, my early season success on FanDuel disappeared last week. I have developed a habit of finishing just out of the money. I changed my initial ‘stars and scrubs’ approach to 9 good players all ranging from $6,000 to $7,500. It allows me to compete every night but I think I need to take more risk in order to win. I purposely took a lot of risk for last Friday’s $5 Sheridan Hoops Tournament and finished 206th out of 220 so you can understand my hesitation.

That said, I never expected to enjoy the daily fantasy game as much as I am. It is an art form trying factor in home versus road, match-ups, fatigue, prices and plain old hunches. Last night for the $5K Sheridan Hoops Tournament I decided to put all my eggs in the DEN @ PHO basket and actually spent all of my $60,000 budget on just that game but was denied – you need players from at least 3 teams and 2 games. I didn’t do very well though as the Nuggets and Suns both spread the fantasy love to multiple players. Congrats to floydmanatee and partyboy2012 for racking up a very impressive 341 points.
For tonight in the $1K NBA dribbler, I am focusing on the SAS @ LAL and WAS @ CHA games as I expect them to be high scoring and hotly contested with the starters getting plenty of minutes. I also like Indiana against the tired Raptors. As of 9:00am my team looks as follows:
PG Tony Parker SA@LAL $6,800
PG Kemba Walker WAS@CHA $6,500
SG Paul George TOR@IND $7,500
SG Manu Ginobili SA@LAL $6,100
SF J.R. Smith NY@ORL $6,800
SF Michael Kidd-Gilchrist WAS@CHA $6,600
PF Tim Duncan SA@LAL $8,500
PF Thomas Robinson POR@SAC $4,700
C Byron Mullens WAS@PCHA $6,300
You can enter a tournament multiple times to increase your chances of winning, and you can edit your lineup(s) until the 7:00 EST deadline.
The Fantasy Spin is here every morning (even on weekends) by 9:00 a.m. EST. Follow us on Twitter — @SheridanFantasy — for updates.

Three overtimes was three overtimes too many to be repelled and repulsed by the atrocious audio stylings of Craig Bolerjack and Matt Harpring. I hate having to watch NBA games with the volume on mute. But I guess those two don’t give a crap how bad they are, just so long as their bosses that pay them to be hollering homer shills are thrilled to death.

Failed to note Nikola Pekovic’s sprained ankle in Minnesota recap. Severity not yet known. Just another injury for the Wolves to overcome.
