Depth Chart Updates
Unfortunately, we lost another player to a long term injury this week with Chase Budinger tearing the meniscus in his knee. He is expected to miss 3 to 4 months and can be dropped in every format and has been dropped from our Depth Chart.
Andrew Bynum provided some clarity to his return, which is now likely around New Years day and then suffered a setback in his recovery feeling pain in his other knee. At this point, I am avoiding him. His health can’t be trusted. On, a positive note Nene Hilario was seen on the practice court and his return may be imminent.
Kawhi Leonard (knee), Landry Fields (wrist) and Alan Anderson (ankle) are the newly injured with each expected to miss at least the next two weeks. Keep Leonard, drop Fields and Anderson.
Gerald Wallace (ankle), Kyle Lowry (ankle), Steve Nash (leg), Gerald Henderson (foot), Marshon Brooks (ankle), Brandon Roy (knee) and J.J. Barea (foot) all didn’t play last week. Lowry, Nash and Henderson will miss this week’s games, too.
Kwame Brown, Jason Richardson, Jameer Nelson, Tyler Zeller, Corey Maggette and Shawn Marion returned to action after extended absences and are safe to start going forward.
Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade, Rodney Stuckey, Kirk Hinrich, Isaiah Thomas, Steve Blake and Nikola Pekovic missed a game or two but are fine to start this week.
Thomas Robinson and DeMarcus Cousins each served two game suspensions.
Watch for Linas Kleiza to see if he can continue to take the bulk of the SF minutes in Toronto and Jimmer Freddette in Sacremento who may gotten himself back into the point guard conversation with vastly improved play. If you haven’t added Alexey Shved yet, it is probably too late after Friday’s stellar performance.
Below are the changes to our Depth Chart that I want to highlight. The additions in particular should interest deep leaguers:
Boston: added Leandro Barbosa and removed Darko Milicic
Brooklyn: added Keith Bogans and removed Mirza Teletovic
Detroit: promoted Kyle Singler to starter and demoted Rodney Stuckey to the bench
Indiana: promoted Lance Stephenson to starter and demoted Sam Young to the bench
Los Angeles Lakers: added Darius Morris and removed Steve Blake
Minnesota: Removed Chase Budinger and added Dante Cunningham
New Orleans: Added Brian Roberts and removed Lance Thomas
New York: Added Rasheed Wallace and removed Marcus Camby
Orlando: Added Moe Harkless and removed Daequan Jones
Philadelphia: Added Royal Ivey and removed Maalik Wayns
Sacremento: Added Jimmer Freddette and removed Francisco Garcia
Toronto: Added Linas Kleiza and removed Alan Anderson
Toughest omission this week is Kwame Brown who has started back-to-back games but has been outplayed by Lavoy Allen.
