UTA @ NOH: Signs of life from Paul Millsap? He scored 10 of his 16 points from the free-throw line, added 8 rebounds and played twice as many minutes as Derrick Favors. Jamaal Tinsley, starting again at PG for injured Mo Williams, went scorelss and was badly outplayed by Greivis Vasquez(18 PTS, 8 AST) but the Jazz won anyway, as Ryan Anderson couldn’t find the range and nobody on the Hornets’ bench is a scoring threat.
MIN @ LAC: The schedule is working against the T-Wolves and Kevin Love, who simply weren’t good enough in a back-to-back against a good team. Love (19 PTS, 12 REB) missed nine of his 12 shots and will improve. Alexey Shved (17) had a nice game off the bench to keep the score respectable, but Chris Paul (23 PTS, 11 AST, 3 STL) was not going to be denied. Chauncey Billups made a surprise return for the Clippers as the starting SG, bumping Willie Green out of the rotation. Billups is old, his FG% isn’t great and he’ll need time to get up to game speed, but if you need 3-pointers and he’s available, feel free to pick him up.
November 29 Games
SAS @ MIA: As we said off the top, those old, familiar faces were great for San Antonio last night. It remains to be seen if they have the legs to run with Miami on short rest. However, the Heat didn’t look unbeatable against the lowly Cavs in their latest, needing a furious late rally (from seven points down in the final two minutes) to remain unbeaten at home. If there were daily leagues at FanDuel today, I’d be keying on D-Wade and LBJ. Shane Battier (knee) is doubtful, so Mike Miller might see extra minutes tonight.
DEN @ GSW: Somehow, the Warriors are 8-6 without Andrew Bogut or Brandon Rush, two of their best six players. They start two rookies every night, David Lee plays way too much at C and undersized Carl Landry is the main PF. On paper, and in my mind’s eye, Denver beats them every time. Of course, Andre Iguodala has to keep his temper and avoid getting ejected. Iggy had 29 the last time these teams met, and Ty Lawson did a fantastic job shutting down Stephen Curry. The Nuggets needed double-OT to win an earlier matchup between these rivals, so they are no sure thing. Use all your players on both teams and hope for a high score.
