Mark Eaton, Utah’s 7-4 center. had 456 blocks in 1984-85, including 14 swats in a game against Portland. In his 11-year career, the UCLA product averaged 3.50 blocks a game, also an NBA record. Eaton, a fourth round draft pick, led the league in blocks on 4 occasions.
