BOS @ GSW: Fantasy owners hate secrets and surprises, The news that Rajon Rondo was a late scratch with a bruised hip came far too late for most people to juggle their lineups. Courtney Lee (18 PTS) and Jason Terry (13) were the starting backcourt; Stephen Curry (22 PTS, 9 AST, 4 REB, 3 STL, 2 BLK) had an all-star line as a result, and the 21-10 Warriors won a laugher. Of possible interest in medium-depth leagues, Celtics rookie Jared Sullinger (12 PTS, 8 REB in 25 minutes) was their best big man.
December 30 Games
UTA @ LAC: The Clippers have won 16 straight and should cap a perfect December. The Jazz let a golden opportunity (and a 19-point lead) slip away when these teams met in Utah on Friday, but they have never been a great road team. Without Mo Williams (thumb), they are in trouble against Chris Paul and company. Randy Foye had 28 points the other night, but is hardly a model of consistency. Paul Millsap’s scoring and rebounding have been down for eight games now, and facing Blake Griffin again isn’t the easiest spot to turn that around.
SAS @ DAL: It’s too soon in the recovery of Dirk Nowitzki to make him the focal point. The knee is fine, he’s just out of shape and on a minutes restriction. Darren Collison has to deal with Tony Parker, and Dallas has nobody who can handle Tim Duncan. It could be wide-open and high-scoring, but I see the Spurs’ superior talent and depth pulling away to a decisive win.
MIL @ DET: It’s an odd coincidence that each of these teams beat the Heat in their last game. The Pistons have home-court advantage and an extra day of rest. They also have Will Bynum, who has scored 31 and 25 off the bench in consecutive games, and especially if Rodney Stuckey (ankle) can’t go, Will the Thrill might continue to shine. The Bucks may be the better team, but they can’t afford any letdown.
BOS @ SAC: Too many question marks, not enough answers. Will Rondo play? Is Tyreke Evans (knee) healthy enough to return for Sacramento? When will DeMarcus Cousins grow up? Is Keith Smart the most ironic coach name ever? The way Boston has begun this road trip (losing by 29 and 18) they might not have enough gas in the tank for a third game in four nights. The Kings, an utter mess of a franchise, are actually 5-1 at home this month.

john steppling says
three things: First is that Indiana needs a new coach, badly. Vogel’s junior high school offense isnt cutting it, and his rotations are incoherent. It feels like a fearful coach looking for answers. Where is miles plumlee by the way?? Beecause they could use a banger inside since Hibbert is up for the Softest Man in the NBA (with fellow finalists jeremy linn and andrreas bargnani)…………..
second: how much better is toronto with bargs gone? and why did everyone on the planet know this except dwayne casey?
Third……Larry Sanders should seriously be in the DPOY discussion. He has been beyond good. But bucks are so much better with Luc Moute back……night and day. This is a team to fear in the weak east.
