The New York Knicks continued their impressive play with a 106 – 99 win against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon. The victory marks a 12-4 start (7-0 at Madison Square Garden) for the Knicks this season. While the win marks their third straight after dropping four of their previous seven games following their impressive 6-0 start, it was not without its pitfalls. In slapping the San Antonio Spurs with a $250,000 fine for resting their trio of stars in a nationally televised game, Stern said in his customary, quite lawyerly fashion, “The result here is dictated by the totality of the facts in this case.” [Read more…]

Rubio is way ahead of schedule (we were guessing Christmas) in his recovery from knee surgery, and took part in the T-Wolves’ practice on Sunday. Decimated by knee injuries to Chase Budinger and Brandon Roy, with Andrei Kirilenko (back) day-to-day, the team can use any healthy body. FanDuel Diary: Fresh Start in Week 6
It’s a humbling experience to have the $100 weekly bankroll wiped out again. That’s happened in three of the five weeks so far, with a small loss and a $100 win in the other two.
