Congratulations to “PaulinNYC” who won the $100 first prize in our Freeroll last night. Thanks to all 756 people who entered; my team was as high as 17th early, but faded to 58th. I did win $50 for a third-place finish in a $2 GPP, and became a grandfather at 11:30 p.m., so all in all, it was a pretty good night.
We have another great fantasy contest this evening, exclusive to SH readers. Beat me and win! It’s a 40-man league, with an $11 entry fee. In addition to $400 in prize money ($135 for first down to $20 for sixth) for the top finishers, everyone who finishes ahead of me earns an extra $5. That will be easy, considering I’m sleepless, ecstatic and not totally focused on fantasy hoops.
Here is the entry link for the Sheridan Hoops Challenge, which will fill up fast. Don’t get shut out, as only the first 39 challengers get to take me on.

There are eight NBA games today, but only seven count in most leagues, like the Challenge. The 3:30 matinee (Magic at Clippers) is excluded, making the deadline 7:00 EST.
F1 LeBron James (MIA-F) $21,597
F2 David West (IND-F) $11,702
G1 Paul George (IND-G) $16,194
G2 George Hill (IND-G) $8,856
C1 Chris Bosh (MIA-C) $15,273
C2 Ian Mahinmi (IND-C) $7,537
U1 Lance Stephenson (IND-G) $8,797
U2 Jared Dudley (PHO-G) $9,919
The above lineup is very much subject to change. If DeMarcus Cousins is suspended, Chris Bosh will have another big night, and LeBron James should be in triple-double territory. I’m using five Pacers in this version; all are inexpensive because of some very low-scoring games, but tonight could be fun against the defenseless Bobcats.
My fellow ‘experts’ (and high-rollers) can win bragging rights and cash by beating me in the Sheridan Hoops Challenge, and we wish you luck tonight in every league but that one.
The Fantasy Spin, published by 9:00 every morning, reviews a busy 11-game Friday and previews all of Saturday’s games.
