Despite the conflicting reports, it should be known that Lil Wayne is a noted gun enthusiast who recently served time in prison for a New York City gun charge for which he admitted in October 2009 to carrying a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic on his tour bus.
Interestingly enough, the charges were delayed until March 2010 for the strangest of reasons, including dental work on his bejeweled teeth and a fire in the basement of the New York City courthouse where he was about to be sentenced.
Lil Wayne, the self-proclaimed “Greatest Rapper Alive,” was also arrested in Jan. 2008 at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint in Yuma, Ariz.. Authorities said they found cocaine, ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus and was slapped with a felony drug and weapons charge. He pleaded guilty to the charges in 2010 in an effort to reduce his New York jail sentence that he served in 2010.
