The Wild, the Innocent and the DraftStreet Shuffle
What a great job the DraftStreet techies did on the site redesign, which rolled out seamlessly yesterday. Not that there was anything wrong with its functionality before, but I love the new look and feel. It’s brighter, crisper and seems faster. Instead of popup windows, draft rooms now open in a new tab that’s larger and more legible. For long-time members, there may be a few moments of unfamiliarity, but it won’t take long to appreciate the improvements, like “Per player $ left” — a useful timesaver.
If you’re curious about daily leagues, start with the Sheridan Hoops Freeroll which is for Wednesday night’s games but is now open.
You can’t win ‘em all, and last night I couldn’t win any. Used Tony Parker in a few leagues and David West in others. Ouch. With only four days this week, I lost 24% of the $100 bankroll and will be investing about $30 tonight in a variety of $2 and $5 contests.

When you commit 22.5% of the cap to one player like LeBron James, you need some bargains to perform. The possibility of James Harden missing tonight’s game (or being at less than full strength) makes Carlos Delfino more valuable. If you don’t use LBJ or Kevin Durant, you can afford a more balanced roster, but I’m trying the Stars-and-Scrubs approach
