All-Star Weekend is here!
Friday night kicks things off with the All-Star Celebrity Game.
Minnesota Timberwolves star forward Kevin Love may be injured, but he’s on the scene at All-Star weekend. He kept tabs on all of the the pre-game action by giving a play-by-play of participants’ fashion.
He kicked things off by celebrating former San Antonio Spurs guard Bruce Bowen’s decision to appear without his most recognizable accessory.
Love then took a subtle jab at Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Russell Westbrook and his former teammate, now Houston Rockets All-Star, James Harden for their choice of eyewear.
As you may recall, Westbrook, Harden and Kevin Durant made wearing lensless glasses popular last season.
Love didn’t stop there, however. He gave praise to Portland Trail Blazers/Houston Rockets Hall of Fame great Clyde Drexler.
Celebrity Game participant and reigning MVP Kevin Hart took time before the game to take shots at Westbrook’s outfit.
First of all, I just want to bring attention to Russell Westbrook’s pants. I think they’re the top two worst pair of pants I’ve ever seen in my life.”
Hart’s assessment of the pants may be correct. The choice of color scheme (light earth tones) and print design (camouflage) amounts to something that looks like it was once a Giraffe’s neck.
Alas, everyone can’t dress like James Harden.
