DraftStreet Serenade
Last week’s slump continued on Monday, as I made the wrong call on Al Horford — “too expensive” at $19,160, he amassed 56 fantasy points — and instead used $6,292 “bargain” Enes Kanter, who barely played. I also was disappointed by Rudy Gay, one of several Raptors who stunk on their home court.
Already down $20 from this week’s $100 bankroll, it would be nice to get even a small win this evening. The pivotal call is to pony up $23,141 of the $100K salary cap for LeBron James, or try to beat him. Given that the Heat should win easily, and LBJ is not 100% physically, I’m keying on Dwyane Wade instead.
Your odds of winning in $2 leagues (or those with higher entry fees) are many times better than the 1,000-1 shot in the Sheridan Hoops Freeroll on Friday. There is a maximum number of entries in cash leagues, with larger prize pools and way more consolation prizes. We do appreciate our Freeroll regulars, and hope you’ll try some of the other great contests. Check out the Pick ‘Em and Snake variations.

You can make unlimited roster moves until the 7:00 EST deadline. I always enter the maximum three teams in the $1,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool contest; here’s one of the those lineups.
F1 Ersan Ilyasova (MIL-F) $13,595
F2 Carlos Boozer (CHI-F) $12,428
G1 Dwyane Wade (MIA-G) $16,666
G2 George Hill (IND-G) $11,939
C1 Larry Sanders (MIL-C) $16,403
C2 Robin Lopez (NO-C) $8,781
U1 Derrick Williams (MIN-F) $12,535
U2 Tobias Harris (ORL-F) $7,468
Robin Lopez is strictly a hunch play against his brother in their first meeting of the year. There are over 200 players in the pool tonight, which means millions of possible 8-man combinations. I try to narrow it down to 15 players in the chart each day, but even that can be quite a challenge.
