Freeroll on Friday, Plus Another Beat Sheridan Challenge
The Sheridan Hoops Freeroll has become a phenomenon. More than 1,000 entries are commonplace; over 1,100 is not unusual. That means it’s very difficult to win, but it’s foolish not to enter. There’s $300 cash to the top 15 finishers — first prize is a hundred bucks — with no cost, no risk and no obligation.
We will have details soon on a special contest where you can win much more cash, not to mention bragging rights. It’s a “Beat the Expert” challenge, to capped at just 40 teams, with a $22 entry fee and a generous prize pool, including s a $5 bonus for everyone who finishes ahead of Chris Sheridan.
Last night continued my recent trend of coming close. One $5 consolation prize (45th out of 550 teams) made it a $9 loss on Tuesday and we’re pretty much even on the $100 weekly bankroll after two nights. With a very busy 14-game NBA schedule this evening, there are 365 players to choose from and literally millions of possible 8-man lineups.

That’s my attempt at a balanced team. Nobody over $16,000, nobody less than $8,500 and hoping all eight produce. Sometimes the “Stars-and-Scrubs” approach pays off but there are reasons to avoid some of the most expensive players tonight, either fatigue or minor injuries. Don’t wait for the Freeroll; you can get started tonight in this exciting, fun variation on fantasy hoops.
