Magic Johnson just can’t seem to get what he wants these days when it comes to basketball-related issues.
Hoping to see his beloved Los Angeles Lakers turn the corner by competing against one of the best in the Oklahoma City Thunder, Johnson instead witnessed his team give up a staggering 71 points in the first half. At the break, all the legend could ask was this:
Poor defense, lack of execution and a healthy dose of Russell Westbrook led to a 122-105 Lakers loss on Tuesday – dropping the team below .500 once again, and falling behind the eighth-seeded Utah Jazz by 2.5 games.
Aside from the game, Johnson has also shown a strong desire to get LeBron James into next year’s Slam Dunk Contest: strong enough to offer up $1 million of his own money to the winner if LeBron joined the competition. Here is an example of him endorsing the idea on twitter:
