- Ricky Rubio had a scary moment with his surgically repaired knee, from Charley Walters of Pioneer Press: “During the third quarter of the Wolves’ 97-81 loss to Miami at Target Center on Monday night, March 4, Ricky Rubio had a scary moment. The Wolves’ flashy point guard wondered whether he had reinjured the left knee that had been surgically reconstructed nearly a year ago. “I stopped and I felt something, but it was OK,” Rubio said. Rubio said he thought the knee, for a moment, suddenly felt unstable. “It scared me because I know knee injuries are a pain in the butt,” he said, recalling his long rehab. “But I’m good. If I didn’t get hurt on that play, that means they (doctors) did a great job, right?”

- Chris Kaman hopes to remain with the Dallas Mavericks beyond this season, from Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News: “Hopefully, I’ll have an option to come back here next year,” he said. “I like Dallas. The people here do a real good job. It’s one of the most professional organizations I’ve ever been a part of. For me, the top one. I like how they do things and maintain their professionalism throughout the whole year, whether we’re up or down.”… “Obviously, it’s in the back of my mind, but there’s not much I can do about it.” But Dallas is an option? “Yeah, for me,” he said, then adding with a laugh, “I don’t know about for them. That’s what’s tough with nine one-year guys. It’s not easy.”

Marcin Gortat is probably done for the season, and thinks the Suns will struggle without him, according to Paul Coro of The Arizona Republic: ““I’m definitely not going to work all this just to come back for one or two games,” Gortat said. “I’d rather just rest the rest of the year. I can tell you thing: I’m going to definitely consider not going to the (Polish) national team again and not playing another 20 games in the off-season. That’s what really screwed me over. I was just stupid.”… “I personally want them to win because I know how it is to be on a team that loses all the time. But they’re going to have a tough job.”
