- On a night when LeBron James tallied his second-lowest point total since joining the Miami Heat with just 13 points (scored 12 points on February 6, 2011), the Heat still continued their dominance with their 18th straight victory. With their first win in three tries against the Pacers, the Heat have now defeated every team in the league this season for the first time in franchise history. - Don’t look now but after the Lakers 90-81 victory over the Chicago Bulls, they have quietly gone 16-6 in their last 22 games to take over the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings. Dwight Howard produced his fourth game of at least 20 rebounds on Sunday, grabbing 21 while scoring 16 points for the Lakers who collected a season-best 19 offensive boards. Howard has pulled down at least a dozen rebounds in each of his last ten games to equal the second-longest such streak of his NBA career (and his longest since a career-high 14-game streak for Orlando in 2010-2011). - Kevin Durant scored 23 points and made all 11 of his foul shots while grabbing 11 rebounds as the Thunder turned back the Celtics, 91-79. Durant joined DeMarcus Cousins (January 14) and Tyson Chandler (February 20) as the only players to go 11-for-11 or better from the free-throw line and collect 11 or more rebounds in an NBA game this season. The loss snapped the Celtics five-game win streak as Boston is now 14-5 since Rajon Rondo’s season-ending knee injury. - Chris Paul scored 20 points and handed out 14 assists without being charged with a turnover as the Clippers trounced the Pistons, 129-97. It was the second time in Paul’s NBA career that he reached those levels of points and assists in a game without turning the ball over; his previous game of that kind was for New Orleans on January 6, 2009. Only three NBA players had such games in the interim: Deron Williams (Utah, Dec. 1, 2010), Steve Nash (Phoenix, Dec. 26, 2010) and Rajon Rondo (Boston, March 31, 2011).
