Winding Your Way Down On DraftStreet
We have another $300 Freeroll for you this Friday, where there’s absolutely no cost or obligation and you could win $100 cash. There are 14 consolation prizes, too — $60 for second and $30 for third is money for nothing. Everyone reading this should enter; it’s fun win or lose. However, if you play only in the Freerolls, you have a mistaken impression of how difficult it is to win money at daily fantasy basketball.
There is no limit to the number of entries in our free contest; over 1,000 people usually take part. $2 leagues are capped at 550 teams. That alone makes your odds twice as good, but the prize money is also far more lucrative. Instead of $300 being shared among the top 15, tonight’s Guaranteed Prize Pool will award $1,000 cash, paying off all the way back to 50th place. That’s more than three times as many prize winners, more than triple the total payout and you can even enter a second or third team to improve your chances.
My teams didn’t come close on Monday and it cost me $16 from the $100 weekly bankroll, but every day is a brand new season and there are eight interesting NBA games to choose from this evening.

U2 Gary Neal (SA-G) $4,520
That’s actually the lowest salary in a while for LeBron James after one game where he deferred to teammates. I was surprised to be able to build a respectable team around him. A completely different option is to key on Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard while filling with bargains in the other six spots. There are literally millions of possible 8-man combinations and it’s always n enjoyable challenge to try to find the best one.
