It’s not often that Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins sings the praise of anyone who isn’t his teammate, so it’s worth noting when he does acknowledge someone on a different team.
That player on Thursday night was Kenyon Martin, who started for the injured Carmelo Anthony and had his best game of the season since becoming a member of the New York Knicks, with 12 points on six-of-10 shooting and four rebounds. Unfortunately for Martin and the Knicks, the night ended prematurely for him after suffering a shin contusion, joining the long list of injured players already on the roster.
Half way into the contest, Perkins believed a good finish to the contest between the Knicks and the Portland Trail Blazers would unfold:
Not quite, as the Blazers soundly defeated the Knicks 105-90. Perkins is evidently no fortune teller, but gets our Tweet of the Night for the positive attitude.
