At this point, it’s probably safe to crown James as the MVP of this season. His only real competition for the award has been Kevin Durant, who still has a case of his own as the best scorer in the league, but the credit for the dominant streak the Heat are on will fall mostly on the broad shoulders of the King. The best player on the best team tends to win these things. With that out of the way…
Here is the more intriguing question: can the Heat actually go undefeated for the rest of the season to break the all-time winning streak of 33 games, held by the 1971-1972 Los Angeles Lakers? Can they actually pull the unthinkable and get to 68 wins?
If you look at the remaining 16 games on their schedule, it certainly looks possible: 10 of those contests are against lottery teams and four are against playoff-bound teams at home, where they are an astounding 30-3. They have one semi-tough game against the Chicago Bulls on the road, but the toughest challenge? David “The Admiral” Robinson has the answer to that question:
Fun, indeed, but the San Antonio Spurs – the second best team in the league and the only team Steve Kerr believes has a chance to beat the Heat – will likely be without their starting point guard Tony Parker, who is currently out with a sprained left ankle. If Miami can win that game on March 31, April could be a smooth-sailing month as they head into the postseason as favorites to win it all again.

I’m pretty sure Parker will be playing. All signs to point to him coming back earlier than the 4 week period that was originally stated.
James Park says
True, but if he does come back, it’ll likely be around that time and he’ll be rusty.
Kyle says
Talk is he could be back this week, which would give him a few games under his belt. Even rusty Parker will provide for a fun game than no Parker. The Spurs offense without him has not been fun to watch.
