$300 Freeroll on Friday; Plenty of Action Tonight
Something tells me that this week’s Sheridan Hoops Freeroll will not threaten last week’s record 1,260 entries. Though someone will win $100 cash and there’s absolutely no risk, hoops fans are somewhat distracted by a college tournament.
DraftStreet has NCAA leagues that close at 12:15 EDT, and will be adding more throughout the day, but we are focused on the pro game in this space, and there are new opportunities to win every night.
I was tantalizingly close to a big score on Wednesday: if Samuel Dalembert had been just a bit more effective, my 6thh-place finish out of 292 teams, good for a $25 consolation prize, would have been even more lucrative. Tonight, while everyone else is infected by March Madness, I’ll be entering my usual three teams in the $1,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool, and for once, I’m spending big bucks at center.

As mentioned on the previous page, you might want to avoid the Sixers, as Spencer Hawes was their only good player last night, and a back-to-back at high altitude is just what they don’t need. I’m keying on Joakim Noah and DeMarcus Cousins, as the other options at C, while less expensive, aren’t too inspiring. All NBA leagues close at 8:00 EDT and you can make unlimited roster moves until that deadline.
F1 Kenneth Faried (DEN-F) $12,338
F2 Patrick Patterson (SAC-F) $8,969
G1 Andre Miller (DEN-G) $13,276
G2 Marcus Thornton (SAC-G) $11,226
C1 Joakim Noah (CHI-C) $17,972
C2 DeMarcus Cousins (SAC-C) $17,935
U1 Corey Brewer (DEN-G) $8,265
U2 Toney Douglas (SAC-G) $9,100
You will notice that seven of my eight players are from two teams, who I expect to score a lot of points. However, I’m leaning more to bench players for the Kings and Nuggets, hoping for blowouts where the starters get plenty of rest. Good luck with all your lineups tonight.
