$100 First Prize in Tonight’s Freeroll
There’s so much going on this week, with everyone glued to the TV watching college hoops, that the incredibly popular Sheridan Hoops Freeroll might have fewer than 1,000 teams. That’s way down from last week’s record of 1,260 entries, but there is still $300 in cash to be awarded to the top 15 finishers, and with no entry fee, no risk and no obligation, it seems silly not to take a shot at the free money.
DraftStreet also has numerous NCAA contests that close throughout the day; the first wave with a 12:15 EDT deadline.
Here in the site’s fantasy corner, we are all about the NBA. There’s an 11-game slate, featuring many of the game’s biggest stars, and a total of 291 eligible players. Each day, we try to narrow that down to 15, making five suggestions in each of three price ranges. The chart is NOT for the Freeroll, which has been open since Monday without changing player salaries. The prices below are for the hundreds of other leagues that close at 7:00 this evening.

I’m expecting a much easier win for Miami tonight and as such, LeBron James may not see huge minutes. By keying on Kevin Durant and James Harden, I still have to cut corners elsewhere. If my reasonably-priced C both come through, this lineup might slip into the money.

Be sure to enter the Freeroll, where there are some extreme hidden bargains. Tyler Hansbrough costs $13,502 tonight in the vast majority of leagues and is expected to start again; he was less than half that price ($6,279) back on Monday before putting up consecutive double-doubles this week. Teammate Gerald Green is only $4,893 in the Freeroll compared to $9,627 tonight, as injuries have put him back into the rotation and he’s responded well.
