In the wake of the Chicago Bulls opening a 3-1 lead over the Brooklyn Nets in their first-round series came this piece in the Chicago Tribune in which Reggie Rose – the brother and manager of sidelined Bulls superstar Derrick Rose – said, “(Derrick) is getting his mind ready, getting comfortable with his body. I think (his mind) is probably at a good 90 percent now.”
So does that mean Derrick Rose is getting ready to finally return to the court and face the Miami Heat?
Easy, flash. First, the Bulls have to knock off the Nets, who looked pretty good for 45 minutes on Saturday. And point guard Kirk Hinrich is questionable for Game 5.
And should Chicago get past Brooklyn, the idea of Rose making his return and attempting to hit the floor running against the defending champions soounds a bit daunting, even for a former MVP.
I discussed Rose’s possible return, plus who may be on the way out in Lakerland, with Andy Furman of Fox Sports National Radio on Sunday.
