Two things we weren’t expecting to see in this postseason: The Miami Heat facing a distinct dose of adversity, and LeBron James fouling out of a game.’
The latter happened late in the fourth quarter of Indiana’s 99-92 victory Tuesday night. It was the first time James was whistled for six fouls in a game since last year’s playoffs.
The former is happening in the present moment. Being tied 2-2 against a Pacers team that has won two games when optimizing its size advantage has put the Heat in the most pressure-packed game they’ve played since … well, since Game 6 of last year’s Eastern Conference finals, when they needed a win in Boston to extend the series to seven games.
One thing is certain: It’ll be a good night to sit down on the sofa or saddle up to the bar Thursday night.
What we want to know here is who people will be cheering for — the defending champs or the scrappy underdogs. But we also want to know whether y’all believe the Pacers can actually win this series and advance to the NBA Finals.
So we have two polls: Who do you want to win, and who do you think will win.
Thanks for casting your ballots. The percentage totals will display after you vote. You are welcome to expound on your thoughts in the comments section.
