I was watching Game 3 with my dad a few nights ago when he made the observation that he thought LeBron James is a better player than Michael Jordan was. It was quite a mouthful from the old man, who has been around long enough to have seen Dolph Schayes play in person, but I had to stop him in his tracks.
“Let’s wait and see. Jordan was an assassin. Jordan won six titles. LeBron has won one title, not six.
James has earned his sniper badge, but not the title of assassin.
Then, last night, Game 5 happened.
And if what we witnessed from LeBron was not the definition of assassin-like behavior, I don’t know what is. More on that in today’s featured column from Chris Perkins, who covered the game for SheridanHoops.com from Miami. Go ahead and give his column a read as you listen to this podcast from 106.7 The Fan WJFK in Washington, D.C. with Holden Kushner and Danny Rouhier.
