Kevin Love is not going anywhere this off-season. On Mike & Mike on Friday morning, Love asked Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Flip Saunders about his situation with the rumors of him possibly getting traded to Cleveland for the number one pick. Saunders immediately shot that question by saying he was not getting traded. Saunders said, “Maybe people will stop calling me now.” That should clear the air between Love and Minnesota as they should work on a contract extension here soon. One problem outside of Love is getting Nikola Pekovic back. If Love signs a max-contract extension this summer, that means Pekovic would likely not be back in a Timberwolves uniform next season. Now that the trade rumors are out of the way for Love, he has to take a little less money on his extension if he wants his frontcourt partner in Pekovic back.
Lance Stephenson and James Harden have both been partying hard the last few nights. Stephenson spent $1,000 at a Miami strip club, called King of Diamonds, hours after Indiana’s loss to Miami in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals according to TMZ. That is the way Stephenson chose to drown his sorrows after a blowout loss. Meanwhile, James Harden could be dating a Houston-area stripper named as SYN Da Lady Hustler, according to Big Lead Sports. Comparing two players who’s salaries are completely opposite (Harden $80 million, Stephenson $870,000), both still love to make it rain at strip clubs during the off-season. Now, I am keeping a personal track record of Harden and Stephenson going to strip clubs this summer. Who will go more times, Stephenson or Harden? Could be a tough question to answer with these two instances this week.
