When the playoffs began for LeBron James on April 21, he decided it was time to stop messing around with social media and focus on the task at hand: gunning for a second-consecutive championship.
There would be no instagram shots of any kind. His boy Stephen Curry was lighting it up in the playoffs and shocking the world? Great, but you weren’t going to hear about it from James on twitter. His final tweet came on April 20, a day before the Miami Heat played their first game against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.
A day after winning the championship and the Finals MVP trophy, James finally broke his silence with the following tweet:
Wow I guess it just hit me! LoL #LoveWhatIDo #AkronStandUp #Blessed http://t.co/owooOF2LkD

LeBron appears to be playfully reaching out to his haters here, and there’s nothing wrong with that, given how many of them still remain despite all his accomplishments. It’s worth noting that he did actually address this particular issue during his Finals MVP trophy acceptance speech, saying “I can’t worry about what anyone says about me.” The video is a bit of a contradiction in that regard, but he’s certainly entitled to his bragging rights after winning just about everything big there is to win this season.
