Video: Hamilton on coach Jason Kidd – good move for Nets?
It used to be that the path from player to coach in the NBA required at least a couple of years as an assistant, executive or broadcaster. Not anymore. Jason Kidd has shattered that notion, making the switch from player to coach in less than a month when he was hired by the Brooklyn Nets, the same franchise he led to consecutive appearances in the NBA Finals 10 years ago. Kidd is one of the smartest players in league history, and has
NBA issues tampering penalties
At least 3 NBA teams have reportedly been fined for tampering, with the Houston Rockets and the Atlanta Hawks being the first two to be named or own up. The league sent out a memo to the NBA’s 30 teams announcing the penalties, but with no specific fines or teams mentioned. You can bet the fines won’t be small though, they will probably be equal in size to the giant jackpots on offer at top casino site Androidcasino.ca , as
SH Blog: LeBron vows to be much better, Deron Williams admits hiring Kidd is risky
LeBron James is struggling in the playoffs, and that means everyone is talking about his demise. When the King struggles – which he rarely does – it is always major news. Usually, his struggles stem from the inability of his teammates to step up and make plays. In Game 3 of the NBA Finals, however, that actually wasn’t the case. For once, LeBron didn’t have a whole lot to blame for his poor performance other than himself, and that’s exactly what
NBA players show overwhelming support for Jason Kidd as the coach of the Brooklyn Nets
Watch out, NBA coaches. There is a new “Kidd” in town (sorry folks, had to do it). Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today has details: Jason Kidd jumped from playing to coaching in less than two
LeBron James vows to play better
“I played like —-.” LeBron James was as blunt as ever as he spoke to the media Wednesday follow the Miami Heat’s 113 – 77 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. He did not shy away from blame, on the contrary, he took it all on the chin. I take full responsibility for our team’s performance last night. Me as a leader, I can’t afford to perform like I did last night and expect us
Podcast: What to make of LeBron James’ Guarantee?
SAN ANTONIO — Once again Wednesday, LeBron James heaping all the blame and the pressure on himself. His mood was better, his defiance was not manufactured, and he made a lot of good points while making a guarantee that he would play better. Not that the Heat would win Game 4, but that he’d play better. As guarantees go, it is certainly not the boldest one ever made. [Read more…]
Bernucca Podcast: Why is LeBron James afraid to shoot jumpers?
The San Antonio Spurs are crowding the paint and daring LeBron James to take jumpers. So why doesn’t he? Through the first three games of the NBA Finals, James has yet to score 20 points. It’s his longest such postseason streak since the 2011 Finals vs. Dallas, and we all know what happened there. If James doesn’t want that to happen again, he has to stop worrying about efficiency and start worrying about the Miami Heat falling into a 3-1 hole. He
