ESPN’s senior college basketball reporter Andy Katz offered the most sensible perspective pertaining to the Celtics.
Brad Stevens is a great teacher of the game and this is what the Celtics needed. Huge loss for the Bulldogs and college basketball.

That is precisely where the Celtics stand.
They are in the middle of a complete overhaul, looking to rebuild around young talent.
Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge shared these thoughts in an announcement:
Brad and I share a lot of the same values. Though he is young, I see Brad as a great leader who leads with impeccable character and a strong work ethic. His teams always play hard and execute on both ends of the court. Brad is a coach who has already enjoyed lots of success, and I look forward to working with him towards Banner 18.”
Boston fans should embrace Stevens, as he has a great basketball mind and is a capable teacher of the game. He should be a great fit for a team that is embracing its future rebuild.
