Sources said the Warriors have interest in the free agent forward – another vote of confidence for coach Mark Jackson’s ability to handle the less amenable. Smith however, doesn’t seem too interested in the Warriors, who aren’t going to jump as high as others to get him.”
- Manu Ginobili will be signing another contract with the Spurs, according to Woj: “Manu Ginobili’s two-year agreement with the San Antonio Spurs will pay him $14 million, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Ginobili revealed on Twitter that he had agreed to a two-year deal to likely finish his career with San Antonio, and league sources told Y! Sports the contract will pay him $7 million per season. Ginobili, who turns 36 on July 28, averaged 11.8 points and 4.6 assists in 60 games last season.”
- The Knicks have made an offer to Pabro Prigioni, from Kurt Helin of ProBasketballTalk: “As a 36-year-old NBA rookie (after a long career in Europe), Pablo Prigioniwas good for the Knicks. The ball movement and spacing was just better with him on the court. For example, the Knicks best +/- lineup last season that played at least 40 minutes was one with Prigioni, Carmelo Anthony,Tyson Chandler, Steve Novak and J.R. Smith. So the Knicks want to keep him around and have offered him a two-year contract, according to a tweet from Argentinian basketball site Pick-and-Roll. Prigioni is a restricted free agent.”

- Tony Allen will remain with the Grizzlies, from Brian Mahoney of The AP: “The Memphis Grizzlies have re-signed Tony Allen to a four-year contract worth $20 million, a person familiar with the agreement said Tuesday. Allen is one of the league’s best perimeter defenders and a key to the Grizzlies’ run to the Western Conference finals last season. He drew interest from other teams but decided to stick with a Memphis team coming off the best season in franchise history. “Memphis stand up!!!!” Allen wrote on his Twitter page. “Thank you Lord for all that you’ve done and all that (you’re) doing in my life. I am so grateful and humbled.”
- The Pistons made an offer to the Raptors for Rudy Gay, from Brian Windhorst of ESPN: “The Detroit Pistons were among the bidders for forward Rudy Gay when the Memphis Grizzlies made him available last season and they are once again going after him now that there’s been a management changeover in Toronto. The Pistons have offered the Raptors the expiring contracts of Rodney Stuckeyand Charlie Villanueva in an attempt to acquire Gay, league sources told ESPN.com. Stuckey and Villanueva are both scheduled to make $8.5 million this season and Gay has two years and $37 million left on his contract.”

- The Timberwolves agreed to deal with Kevin Martin and Chase Budinger, from Jerry Zgoda of Star Tribune: “According to league sources familiar with negotiations, the Wolves reached terms with Budinger on a three-year, $15 million contract early Tuesday afternoon, then agreed with Martin on a four-year, almost $28 million contract. They reached the deal with Martin after targeted shooting guard J.J. Redick accepted a sign-and-trade deal that sent him from Milwaukee to the Los Angeles Clippers in a three-way trade that also included Phoenix.
- The Kings shockingly rescinded their offer to Andre Iguodala, from Amick: “The Sacramento Kings have pulled their offer to free agent small forward Andre Iguodala, according to a person with knowledge of the decision. After making a four-year, $52 million bid, the Kings will now regroup and decide the next move in their rebuilding efforts. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the situation.”
- The NBA fined a bunch of players for playing in a game unapproved by the league, from Woj: “The NBA fined several players $15,000 each for participating in an unsanctioned University of Washington alumni basketball game, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The NBA fined Philadelphia 76ers forward Spencer Hawes, Memphis Grizzlies guards Quincy Pondexter and Tony Wroten and Sacramento Kings guard Isaiah Thomas for participating in a June 23 game at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, league sources told Y! Sports.
