After years of frustration from Canadian basketball fans, the Toronto Raptors finally pulled the trigger on a trade that would free them from their once beloved big-man Andrea Bargnani. In a package from the Knicks, sharpshooter Steve Novak landed in Canada and was clearly excited for the opportunity to be a Raptor.
When the trade was made official on July 10, Novak took to Twitter days later.
He quickly updated his Twitter settings, including an updated display picture, bio, location and header.
First priority, win over the fans. He may have done so with his first tweet on foreign soil.
Bio is officially changed. #Toronto!

If that wasn’t enough, he quickly made friends with new Raptors point guard Dwight Buycks.
In a tweet that has since been deleted, Novak said;
“Congrats to my fellow @MarquetteU alum @BuycksWorld23 on signing with the Raptors and becoming a teammate!!! Hard work pays off!#MILWAUKEE.”
Yep, there’s no doubt about it, Toronto will love this guy. Before he hits the court, he may become a fan favorite based solely on his enthusiasm.
