Rumor that Derrick Rose is expected to play in the Drew League in LA on Sunday.

Rose would likely have to clear this with the Bulls. But he’s gotta play again eventually.

If Rose did play at the Drew League it would be on the floor with 7 or 8 other NBA players.

- Taj Gibson will miss Team USA’s mini-camp this week in Las Vegas. From K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune: “The Bulls’ forward will miss USA Basketball’s minicamp that begins next Monday in Las Vegas after spraining his ankle during a workout on Wednesday. This would’ve marked Gibson’s second straight summer of participation in the Team USA program, which featured him scrimmaging against the men’s senior national team last summer as part of the U.S. select squad. “That was such a great experience,” Gibson said. “My ankle isn’t too bad but I don’t want to make it worse because I want to be fresh for training camp and the season. I’m just real bummed because I felt ready and had had a great few weeks of workouts.” This summer is the first featuring Tom Thibodeau and Pelicans coach Monty Williams as incumbent coach Mike Krzyzewski’s assistant coaches. Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim also returns as an assistant. Gibson was among 27 NBA players who were scheduled to participate in the July 21-25 camp.
- Will the Dallas Mavericks trade Dirk Nowitzki, who has a no-trade clause? Sean Deveney of SportingNews throws out a bunch of possibilities. “The Bulls would be an ideal fit, but Chicago would have to give up favorite forward Luol Deng, whose contract expires this year. Add Kirk Hinrich, a throw-in player, a draft pick and/or the rights to rising European star Nikola Mirotic, and that’s a good haul for Dallas. Fans might expect more, but fans aren’t always realistic. Other Eastern Conference teams with playoff aspirations make sense, too. If the Pistons—eager to win now—would give up Andre Drummond, say, they could trot out a frontcourt of Josh Smith, Nowitzki and Greg Monroe, which would bump them up in the East. The Mavs would have to take back Charlie Villanueva and Rodney Stuckey, of course, but both contracts are expiring. Dallas could take a draft pick, fall hard next year and cross their fingers for Andrew Wiggins. There are possibilities out there for Nowitzki trades, if not to legit contenders, then at least to teams with decent prospects. To Boston for Rajon Rondo and Kris Humphries? To the Lakers for Pau Gasol? To Washington for Emeka Okafor, Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal?

Just about all I listen to is a bunch of whining about something that you can fix in the event you werent also busy searching for attention.

Moke has been one of my favorite columnists on Sheridan Hoops.
Regarding Dirk, I doubt he gives permission to be traded unless its to a sure winner, AFTER the trade. Chicago is the only option listed, but I don’t think Cuban makes the deal.
On the other hand, the KG trade (“THE TRADE”) was one sided and a no-brainer for KG to waive his trade option. I would have liked to have seen the look on KG’s face when he heard that all the Nets were giving up was Wallace, Hump, Bogans and MarShon (besides pics).
Key to the trade will however be Jason Terry. If true that his poor last season was due to injury, and he returns to his old self, Nets will have a very good bench, besides the best starting 5 in the NBA.

Who is the hairy woman next the the Prokhorov comments?
Proky has had many women friends, but his “date” who sat with him last season at games, is much more elegant.
